Holding on and looking up
I was just goofing off on a photo site and come up with the above. Yesterday I was at the lake with my dog Nanook. It was fairly warm for February but incredibly windy. The sky was a beautiful blue with white fluffy clouds. I haven't been able to take Nanook for car rides for awhile but now that her puppies are in new homes we got out for awhile. She loves it!
I'm thankful for the times in the midst of all that happens in life that there can be these peaceful times. Today I walked up to the farms and prayed along the way. There is no one around to hear me and I spoke aloud even reciting the 23rd Psalm and other scriptures I could think of. My oldest son injured his finger badly at work Friday and the tip is gone and the bones are shattered. He has no feeling from the middle of his finger up. He went to a hand specialist yesterday. He is to keep it wrapped for another week and they will evaluate it again. At this point he doesn't know. It may heal more but there is a possibility he could lose it. At least it is on his left hand and he is right handed but we are praying for the best possible outcome. Who knows what a day holds.
My nephew Zach is now deployed overseas in the army and he has a wife and child at home and she is expecting another while he is on deployment. He will be gone a year. Tough times but they are a couple with strong faith.
I know God is near through all the changes and situations . I just have to hold on by faith and catch every bit of sunshine along the way.

What a sweet picture of you and Nanook sweet Chery...love it. Will keep your son, nephew and his family in my prayers. Hugs
ReplyDeleteYou know I love your photos, Cheryl. Nanook is such a beautiful dog. What a blessing! I'm sorry to hear about your son's accident. Joe has the tips of two fingers, on his right hand gone. He caught them in a lawn mower chain, years ago. He tells everyone is was God's way of telling him (Joe) that he isn't perfect after all! LOL Feel free to share that story! I hope your son will be fine. Please keep us posted!! Love & hugs.
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are always so good. Glad you were able to get outside, and what a great time to talk to the Lord. So sorry about your son's accident and will pray that it heals without further needs for surgery, etc. Also prayers for your nephew...what a hard time to be gone from his wife and family. God bless you in a special way today.
ReplyDeleteLove your photos too. Praying that your son doesn't have to have his finger removed and that your nephew comes home safe. It's a blessing to have a sweet dog like Nanook. Animals give us company, love and hope.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures! Prayers for your son.
