A Place Of Light

Let the pain and the sorrow be washed away.....

Sometimes I just need to close my eyes maybe not so much in a literal sense but in a way that I am not focusing on those things that bother me. Pet peeves, what a funny name to describe "things" It almost seems to imply that it's something that we take care of, feed, shelter , play with or let play over and over in our minds. Do we? Do I?

That is one reason I love this song. There is a choice to be made. "There is a river whose streams make glad," Psalms 46:4

There is a place of rest, joy and healing but we must make those steps forward focusing on the beauty and the grace of God's love and not dwelling on the negatives. God dwells, lives in a positive place, a place of light.

Job 33:28 ‘He has redeemed my soul from going to the pit,
And my life shall see the light.’

Psalm 4:6 Many are asking, "Who can show us any good?" Let the light of your face shine upon us, O LORD.

Psalm 18:28 " You, O LORD, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light."
Psalm 36:9 For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light.
Psalm 43:3 Send forth your light and your truth, let them guide me; let them bring me to your holy mountain, to the place where you dwell.
Psalm 89:15 Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you, who walk in the light of your presence, O LORD.
"There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
Psalm 97:11 Light is shed upon the righteous and joy on the upright in heart.
Psalm 104:1 Praise the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, you are very great; you are clothed with splendor and majesty. 2 He wraps himself in light as with a garment; he stretches out the heavens like a tent 3 and lays the beams of his upper chambers on their waters. He makes the clouds his chariot and rides on the wings of the wind.

The holy dwelling places of the Most High. God is in the midst of her, she will not be moved;
God will help her when morning dawns."
Psalm 46:4,5
Isaiah 42:16 I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them.
Isaiah 60:19 The sun will no more be your light by day, nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you, for the LORD will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory.

My prayer is to walk and to live in this light and to allow the positives of God's living Word to speak life and hope to the places in my emotions and mind that need healing.
