Just a little update

Wow! Times just slipped through my fingers. I’m doing well physically, I have blood work and an infusion every 3 weeks and all is well. I look forward to not having to do that but so soon after my cancer diagnosis it’s important to stay on top of things and keep up with the maintenance treatments.

My blood labs kept consistently showing high calcium levels which required extra treatments so I had that looked into with a specialist. I had hyperparathyroidism and had to get my parathyroid gland removed. Yes, it’s been a crazy year but I got through it. The high calcium the dr thinks was there for a couple years already and I had a growth on my parathyroid ( non cancerous) I healed well from surgery. High calcium is confusing , it’s in the blood the parathyroid not working correctly . The condition actually robs calcium from bones and can negatively affect kidneys and even heart in time so good I had it taken care of! I feel more alert because Hyperparathyroid caused fatigue and brain fog too!

I’m looking forward to ringing out the old year it’s been a doozy but God has been faithful and prayers answered

My hair is growing, just looks like a pixie cut now and my scars are fading.

We are dog sitting our nephews dog this weekend, she is a sweet border collie!

As usual we stay busy with the kids and grandkids too.

Our daughter Michelle just had a birthday. Oliver was really excited about the cake!

My family in Florida are enjoying the holiday season in Florida🏝️

My son sent the pic of the bird with the fish! Pretty cool shot!

My five granddaughters all recently got baptized in their new church and are getting involved there. One of them is in a photography club there and my son who plays guitar is on the praise team. He said he wondered about getting to know people in a big church but they got in small groups and have made friends. It’s good they found somewhere they are happy and can grow together!

We are getting ready to visit our Florida family late this month and our dear friend Terri in Lakeland.

Gotta warn ya though Terri Justin thought about putting the “Let It Snow!” Sign up in his yard though. I do 🙏 pray pleaseee no snow!

I’m ready to see my Florida family though whatever the weather holds and I want to thank God for holding me and healing me from so much this last year!

God bless you with Joyfilled holiday celebrations!

  1. I so appreciated your update here, Cheryl - sounds like it's all great news! What could be better at Christmas? Glad your son and his family have found a church where they've been able to form friendships. Small groups are the way to go, for sure, when it's a mega-church. I'm so grateful that our congregation is modest and everyone feels like family.
    Christmas blessings to you all!
