Feeling Blessed

 If you’ve read my blogs for awhile you know about 2 and a half years ago I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. The first visit was especially scary finding out that I had a serious disease and needed to begin treatment as soon as possible.

I have been surrounded by so many caring people and no words could express how grateful I am for all the kindness that’s been showered on me. 

The cancer center has sponsored some really fun events for us  patients too. Tuesday morning our local water color artist taught us about how to paint with water colors. We had some fun, laughter and creativity. I’ve made some new friends.

Today I had a doctor appointment with my oncologist.

He was happy to tell me my lab work was good my ca125 cancer antigen was normal and my ct scan showed no evidence of disease. All is well!

After the consultation he sat down and held our hands and prayed with us, this time a prayer of thanksgiving. He thanked God that the treatments worked well and for healing. He also expressed thanks for this Easter season and celebrating our risen Savior. I have been so blessed with a caring physician who seeks God for wisdom!

I feel so blessed! My cup overflows!
