Sunlit Pathway
I just love when I actually capture some pictures of these big brown squirrels. They can be swift to move as people approach yet there are some along the river walk who seem accustomed to the foot traffic passing by. Sometimes I stand quietly at this favorite feeding place of theirs and watch them. It appears I also am being watched for any quick movements. They don't seem to enjoy staying in place when people walk by with their dogs or joggers and runners come through. I guess my camera isn't so much of a threat.
Today is suppose to be a nice comfortable 82 degrees. That sounds nice! The summer has been above the normal temperatures , dry and hot. There were many times we welcomed a 90 something degree day as a cool down.
This is one of my favorite places to sit along the trail. This photo is from a previous year. We have not experienced the Autumn colors yet but they are just around the corner!
When I was considering what to title my new blog here I wanted it to reflect who I am and what I love so I named it sunlit pathway. As I walk the trails I usually always have my camera along with me. I can see much of the same scenes everyday yet they can appear different depending on the color of the sky and the way the sunshine and shadows fall upon the pathway. I love to take pictures of the sunshine through the trees.
Every season has a beauty all of it's own. There is something about the color of the golden leafs that make this look like a wonderland to me.
Here is a poem I wrote yesterday.
Restoration
There is a quiet place where God His beauty shows ,
This sanctuary has no walls and yet God's Spirit flows.
I hear the sound of rustling leafs and feel the gentle breeze,
My eyes behold Creation's design , my spirit is fed by the Divine.
Cheryl Nunn
I think we all need a quiet place from time to time. Have a great day !

Greet blog !i can't get over how huge those squirrels are!!
ReplyDeleteI love this post! I am always trying to get pictures of squirrels. We have a big tree in our backyard that is right in front of our family room window. So often a squirrel will sit on a branch and peer in our window. I will go grab my camera and as soon as I get to the window they take off..LOL. I agree, Cheryl. Each season has its own beauty. Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteThose are some well-fed squirrels!!
