Catching up

 

I’m sorry it’s been awhile since I was here. I’ll try to at least catch up some. Life’s busy all the time lately. We went to northern Michigan in July. I climbed SugarLoaf in Marquette. It’s not a real mountain but it’s hundreds of steps and about a 40 minute climb. It’s beautiful. Last year I was there I couldn’t make it up a flight of steps. I took my time but I got there with my sister and brother and their spouses and my husband . It was my goal.

I’m still doing well in remission though I have my tired spells yet. 

Our latest big news is one of our sons just moved to Lakeland Florida with his family! Close to where our friend Terri is. We’re going down there in a week to see him and his new place. I’m so excited. I hope we can meet up with Terri too!

It’s not too bad of a drive just my husband and I.  

 Mostly I walk parklands here for my exercise. I take my camera and turtle food. I like to watch them. It’s such a peaceful walking place.

I think of the song , All things bright and beautiful, all things great and small, all things wise and wonderful the Lord God made them all.

  There’s a lot of negative in this world but there is a lot of beautiful. Sometimes I just need to give my mind a rest and concentrate on the beautiful things. It gives me strength for the rest of it all. 

   We had a very nice lunch and visit with our friends Larry and Becky yesterday. We ate at an Amish restaurant by the lake and talked about old times when our kids were little and played together. We laughed a little and cried a little. Please say a prayer if you can for Becky. She’s a cancer warrior too and having a double mastectomy on Thursday. I love her so much. She has a kind heart . I sure don’t understand everything that happens in life but I know God gives us strength and hope.
