Today was hot, too hot! It was 98 with an excessive heat warning. The heat index was well over 100. My husband went to lunch with an old work buddy and I missed being outside but it was too hot! So I got in my little pool and cleaned out some of the leafs and stuff and splashed around a little. The neighbor was mowing! Wow, so hot for that!
Summer here has hot steamy days, winter cold and sometimes snowy days but we find the joy where we can and make the best of it.
My grandson Oliver has a new cat! It’s a stuffed toy but he loves it. He just adores cats! He has a toy husky named Cashew but Cashew does not bark. Guess what he does do? He goes meow meow. Ollie does his own sound effects. I think he’s coming back to visit grandma soon. He’s always a joy!
Next week we are going up north to Tomahawk Wisconsin in northern Wisconsin. Quite a change from our last trip to Lakeland FL. It’s a family thing , my son in law gets a time share along the Wisconsin river and we have been invited so we will have lots of family fun and enjoy little Oliver again!
I had my dr apt yesterday and things are okay. They’ll be watching me close for awhile and I guess that’s for the best.
Hope everyone has a great weekend! I’m so thankful for life’s blessings. Sometimes I feel a little strange after all the sickness I went through but it sure makes you think different overcoming something like that. Each day is a gift and the little things are precious! Be blessed!
These are a couple of my teenage granddaughters in Florida. We were at a place called Bonnet Springs and they were exploring. Life is an adventure! I’m sure they’ll be discovering more and more as they learn about life in Florida!

DeleteI am so glad for your good doctor report, Cheryl!! Oliver is adorable!! I had a great time sharing pizza with your kids here in Florida on Friday evening. We got to know each other better and I got to meet all of the pets, too, including the reptiles. So fun!! They are all great and I am happy for the new friendships!! Love & hugs!!
