Alive and breathing!

Good morning from southern Indiana ! Fall is in the air but it’s been quite hot. Right now it’s 67 degrees which I wish could stay all day!

I’ve felt the need to cut back on the news and some of social media lately as much of it has been heart breaking and divisive. I don’t want to stick my head in the sand and be uninformed but there’s a wisdom to limiting time and sources. I keep having the thought , “wait and be still”  At times like this it’s easy to become anxious. There’s been so much sorrow with the school shootings and the young father and conservative activist Charlie Kirk. I’m praying and I’m waiting on the Lord.

There are still good things of course. My baby grandson Julian just turned 1. My grandchildren bring me so much joy! My oldest grandson and his wife are having a baby in October. We sure have grandchildren of all ages!

I also had my bloodwork results which beforehand bring a little anxiety after having cancer. My CA125 which tests for cancer was normal once again! Praise God! I have to have a routine CT scan Tuesday but it should be ok since the CA125 is normal!

I thank the Lord for a man who stays by my side and supports me through everything and even now I have my anxious moments but he comforts me. I’m still working to regain strength because all that chemo and surgery takes awhile to work through a person. I’m mad sometimes that I can’t do everything with the same energy but then again I am getting older. That happens to us all!

I’m looking forward to being with our grandchildren and son and daughter in law in January! It’s so nice to be able to go on walks in January without freezing too!

         Love and blessings to all!

  1. Such great news about your health, Cheryl! And those pictures of your grandchildren are so precious. They are a blessing to you, for sure. Take good care of yourself and let God do the heavy lifting. In my last post, I wrote about Charlie Kirk. I hope you will stop by if you have a moment. May He always bless you!
