I’ve been thinking about starting a gratitude journal. I still have several little books filled with prayers and experiences I treasured. They aren’t always pretty with scratched out words an so on but the message is there. I treasure my family and my joy and pain encompasses that. There is always a mixture of joy and pain in life and love. We are to rejoice with those who rejoice and weep with those who weep. Blessed are those who take the time to encourage others even though they are in pain themselves .
It reminds me of this John Denver song ,All this Joy.
Life surely is a mixture!
This weekend we drove out to the country and went to Lark Ranch with the kids. It’s just a great place for the old and young to have fun. Little Ollie was beside himself with excitement and joy. Now it’s a treasured memory.
We also continue with our walks out at Parklands. The Lord blessed me by letting me see a small deer cross the trail. I didn’t get a good picture because it was fast! I’m trusting God to renew my energy. It all takes time, his perfect time but I’m getting better!

Little Ollie certainly radiates joy, Cheryl! I'm so grateful you all had such a fun excursion together. The photos you shared here are amazing!
ReplyDeleteMay God continue to bless and heal you!
Ollie is so beautiful and what awesome hair he has! this is a Denver song I have not heard! It is almost like a hymn!
ReplyDeletePraise the Lord for your continued healing and strength! And for all the wonderful times you have with your sweet little Ollie. I love that you saw a young deer...I know it's hard to capture a photo of them, but our mind's eyes can remember them. I love your journal idea. Life is definitely a mixture of happiness and sorrow...they balance each other out and help us to grow stronger. Kind of like the song about "little flowers"...so "let it rain, let it rain, let it pour...let old sorrow come knocking at my door..." I hope you have a lovely rest of your week. Thank you for visiting me on my post today too. Happy days.
