This is Marquette, Harbor Lighthouse in Marquette, Michigan. It is one of my favorite places. I have spent so much time in this area growing up and every year I visit it. This is a summer picture. I may post pictures from other seasons someday. All of the seasons are beautiful.
That is quite the interesting lighthouse! I would love to explore it! It is quite different from most lighthouses I've seen along the seashore. I love the verse too. Are you familiar with the book, "Dandelion Cottage", by Carroll Watson Rankin? This was written in and about a place in Marquette. Another blogger I used to follow (I forget her name now...she no longer blogs) had shared this story on her blog, and I loved it so much I ordered the book. If you haven't read it, I would recommend it, but I have a feeling if you have spent so much time there you may already know about it. That's all I know about Marquette, having never visited there, but someday maybe I will! Have a blessed and wonderful day.
