Happy Valentine's Day!
God is in our sadness and our laughter, in the bitter and the sweet. There is a divine purpose behind everything — and therefore a divine presence in everything. God is our greatest comfort especially in those moments that don't make sense and, in the moments, when you say, "God, you did this for me" and rejoice and give Him the glory!

This is my husband and I up on top of Marquette, Mountain this last fall in Marquette, MI.
It's such a beautiful place I was blessed to have grown up in. I live in Indiana now and we have raised our family here. We make it up to Michigan a couple times a year now. The last visit was hard because it was the first time being without my beloved mother who passed in January of 2021. Still, it is home, the place where I was born and met my husband who was stationed at the Air Force Base up there.
Seasons have changed, our children have grown, KI Sawyer AFB has long ago closed but some things remain. God is ever faithful, and His love has covered us and protected us through the joys and sorrows of life. We just began a new phase of life as a newly retired couple and are enjoying having more time with each other, our children and grandchildren. We plan on traveling to some of the places that have been on our wish list for a while, God willing.
I love the song by John Denver, All This Joy. The last few years have had their challenges but also JOY's. We have had 2 more grandchildren in 2020 and 2021 and there is one on the way this June. God is good!

I never heard that John Denver song but I really like it.
Thank you . Michigan is a beautiful state. It has the most lighthouses if any state too . I’d like to take a trip seeing lighthouses there are many I have not seen. I grew up in Marquette Michigan. I loved being able to hop on my bike and go to Presque Isle Park .
