In The Quietness
Sometimes I feel like I just need a quiet place. Sometimes there seems to be noise everywhere and I feel like my voice is lost in it all but I know God hears even the prayers we csnnot put into words.
I love the song Word Of God Speak by Mercy Me. It is my hearts cry. I have always gravitated to the quieter and it is ok. I think what matters most is that we worship in spirit and truth with a heart filled with thanksgiving.
Word of God Speak
MercyMe
I'm finding myself at a loss for words
And the funny thing is it's okay
The last thing I need is to be heard
But to hear what You would say
Word of God speak
Would You pour down like rain
Washing my eyes to see
Your majesty
To be still and know
That You're in this place
Please let me stay and rest
In Your holiness
Word of God speak
I'm finding myself in the midst of You
Beyond the music, beyond the noise
All that I need is to be with You
And in the quiet hear Your voice
Word of God speak
Would You pour down like rain
Washing my eyes to see
Your majesty
To be still and know
That You're in this place
Please let me stay and rest
In Your holiness
Word of God speak
Would You pour down like rain
Washing my eyes to see
Your majesty
To be still and know
That You're in this place
Please let me stay and rest
In Your holiness
I'm finding myself at a loss for words
And the funny thing is it's okay
How precious to me are your thoughts God, how vast is the sum of them!
Were I to count them they would outnumber the grains of sand-- when I awake I am still with you. Psalm 139:17,18

I have not heard this song, it's beautiful! Reminds me of the bible verse "Be still and know that I am God."
ReplyDeleteThe group Selah sings a song called Be Still based on that Bible verse. I love the songs Selah sings
ReplyDeleteI love that song, and I totally understand the need for quiet time before the Lord. There is way too much noise in this world today. Thank you for sharing this beautiful song and pictures with us. I breathed a breath of fresh air in reading this.
ReplyDeleteAmen, Cheryl! A lovely post full of goodness!!
